Von Venn returns with a fresh anthem for independence

Von Venn is the brainchild of Irish singer-songwriter Gary Cox, who pulled together a group of talented musicians back in 2022 to bring his lockdown demos to life. The result was Jeanie is Out, a debut album that quickly caught the attention of critics and music lovers alike.

Fast forward to 2025, and Gary and the gang have been keeping busy. After dropping the singles You Can Talk To Me and Only In The Night, Von Venn is back with a brand new track, Be Free.

This latest single is packed with lush harmonies, catchy melodies, and that unmistakable Von Venn mix of guitars, synths, and a searing solo that channels an ‘80s vibe while still sounding totally fresh.

Be Free is a call for independence of voice, mind and spirit, a reminder to think for yourself and to form and express your own opinions with respect to the world around you. It's a reminder to be nobody's fool and never to play to someone's agenda. We live in an age where information is easily manipulated and filtered and we must critically analyse anything that's being presented as the truth. Be Free is the third single from Von Venn’s upcoming album, Forgetting the Fall, and if this track is anything to go by, its going to be something special.
