Drogheda pop band, Modernlove., continue on course to fulfill their potential as one of the fastest-rising pop bands in the Irish music scene.
Formed in 2016, the four-piece came together with a shared interest in musical styles. From New Wave to pop-punk, Modernlove have gained a reputation for carving out a monolithic, genre-shifting sound of their own.
The latest single from the four-piece, Furniture, is a larger than life indie-pop anthem filled with crunching guitars over an energetic beat.
Furniture is about the euphoria and uplifting feeling of finding the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. It's about wanting to be part of someone's life and being there for them through it all until, as the saying goes, you become part of their furniture. We took sonic inspiration from hard hitting indie rock songs from the likes of Bloc Party, Foals and Wunderhorse.- Modernlove.
