Fronted by the enigmatic Dublin-based artist, Martina Moon, Martina And The Moons, are an all-female four-piece band with a reputation for blending raw post-punk energy with indie-pop melody and 90s Britpop bite.

The latest single, Baby Turtle, signals the arrival of a fierce new voice in Irish indie music. Theres a dreamy feel to the track with an sitar like intro over a captivating drum pattern. Martinas vocals and harmonies have a soft tone over a repetitive guitar riff.

Baby Turtle" is a song about vulnerability and survival. It started out inspired by the image of baby turtles crawling to the sea, but over time it's become about the journey of leaving home, chasing a dream, and hoping your potential isn't wasted. In a way, I've become the turtle—trying to make it in music, far from family, from comfort. It's a story so many creatives can relate to. - Martina

Originally from Spain and raised in Scotland, Martina came to Dublin to study at BIMM, where the band formed through a shared love of honest songwriting and blistering live performance. Their music has already earned them support slots with Porridge Radio and Thumper, and they've lit up venues like Whelan's Mainstage and most recently The Great Escape (DUST, Brighton). They've also landed praise from BBC Introducing, Hotpress (Hot for '25), and GoldenPlec, who hailed them as Irish ladies delivering the goods.
