Hailing from Northern Ireland, Madrai have carved a space of their own in the Irish music scene, delivering high-energy lush pop-rock filled with melodies and hooks.
In preparation of the release of their debut EP, What I'm Doing This For
, the band has released their latest single, Turn It Around, a song that is already a live sing-along favorite with fans of the four-piece.
With a powerful four-on-the-floor groove and modulated guitar, Turn It Around
, is an energetic track filled with musical hooks and backing harmonies.
Lyrically, Turn It Around
, captures the feeling of being stuck in a rut and the uphill battle to find your spark again. It's a track made to lift the mood while keeping its lyrics raw and self-reflective.
We wrote this at a time when we were all feeling a bit stuck, like the spark had gone out. It became a kind of pep talk to ourselves — a reminder that even if it feels hopeless, you can fight your way back. It's one of the first songs we finished as a full band, and it's always felt like the moment things started to click.
Turn It Around
was recorded by Jonny Woods (Wynona Bleach) at 1980 something Studios in Belfast. Production and mixing were handled by Jonny, and the songs were mastered by Jon Moorehead of Moosetronix.
