It’s been just over a month since Irish newcomer Lauren Wallace dropped her debut EP Salt Stained Lungs, and she’s already keeping the momentum going. This time, she’s back with an extended edition of the EP, and it comes with a brand-new single that’s impossible to ignore, Wild Like The West.

Lauren might only be 17, but the Dublin singer-songwriter is already crafting a sound that feels both fresh and timeless. She blends the shimmer of contemporary pop with a touch of indie soul, drawing inspiration from both international chart-toppers and the rich tradition of Irish musicians. The result? Songs that are modern and relatable, yet intimate and poetic.

Wild Like The West is pure dreamscape. With its soft guitar tones and Lauren’s smooth vocals, it’s the kind of track that wraps around you like a warm breeze. Lyrically, it’s vulnerable and honest; a glimpse into the headspace of a teenager navigating life’s everyday challenges, with all the messy emotions that come with it.

This sound didn’t happen by accident. Lauren has spent the past year working under the guidance of industry pro Jono McNeil, sharpening her songwriting and building her confidence as an artist. That work led to Salt Stained Lungs, a five-track debut that’s as heartfelt as it is assured. Across the EP, Lauren explores friendship, grief, and personal growth with a delicate touch and a fearless honesty.
