Folk-rockers, Josh Orange, founding members Gordon Burke and Andrew Wass have been jamming together for a few years before Gordon joined Sydney band Oblivia in 1998. The pair would tour relentlessly over the next four years which also included the release of the album The Careless Ones
.
Son of Royal Showband
guitarist & vocalist Fergi Burke, Gordon returned to his home country of Ireland for a year following the bands demise in 2023. By the time he returned to Australia he was armed with a new batch of original material and hooked up with his old mate Andy Wass once again. It didn't take long for the two to start developing the new material bringing in their good friends Blaine Munnings on Bass Guitar and Alex Miller on Drums. The new line-up would result in the formation of Josh Orange
.
2005 would see the release of their debut album, Big Day Tomorrow
and the single Spirit Guide
, which gained some traction and airplay. Despite the success it would be seven years before the band released their second album Songs for The Journey
in 2013, followed up by the albums Eyes Wide Open
(2015) and Midnight Lights
(2021).
In 2024 the band released their fifth and current album Birds for The Bayou
, which features their latest single, Believers And Dreamers (What Have We Become). Opening with plucked harp, Believers And Dreamers
, burst to life with a pounding drum beat and clean guitar tones. With an upbeat tempo, the catchy track is filled with musical hooks with an anthem-like chorus.
The single, Believers And Dreamers, is available through all streaming platforms.
