Jamie Duffy
At just 24, Monaghan-born Jamie Duffy is making waves as one of Ireland’s most exciting new artists. Blending folk, classical, and contemporary influences, his music feels both intimate and cinematic.
His debut single, Solas
, was a breakout hit, racking up over 128 million Spotify streams, 26 million YouTube views, and a staggering 6.6 billion views on TikTok. That made it the most streamed debut by an Irish artist since Hozier’s Take Me To Church
. Now, Jamie is back with Against The Atlantic, the latest taste of his highly anticipated debut album.
Against The Atlantic
was born high above the wild Atlantic Ocean between Ireland and Iceland, co-written with longtime collaborator and BAFTA-winning producer Atli Örvarsson. The song captures the raw, windswept landscapes that have shaped Jamie’s sound. He describes the melody as a missing piece to the album, appearing on one of his final flights to Reykjavík, a gift from both his homeland and his adopted home. The track is cinematic, dramatic, and filled with that magical sense of space where his music truly comes alive.
But Jamie isn’t stopping at albums. He’s also scored his first feature film, 500 Miles
, starring Bill Nighy and Maisie Williams, set for release in 2026. And fans can catch him live on his upcoming headline tour across Europe and the UK, including a return to the National Concert Hall after a sold-out show in March. Tickets for Saturday, October 12th are available now from NCH.ie.
The single, Against The Atlantic, is available through all streaming platforms.
