Alt-Rock Quartet GBYM Wraps Up Stellar EP with latest release

Music Review | 12th July, 2025 GBYM GBYM

Keeping up the positive momentum from previous releases, alternative band Go Bury Your Monsters have released their highly anticipated EP Body Language. Running alongside the EP is the single Deliver You, a parcel of alt-rock infused with hints of electronica. The single serves as the perfect final piece in a quadrant of tracks that make up this stunning EP.

Go Bury Your Monsters (GBYM) is the realization of a project that evolved from dozens of demos—riffs, 30-second clips, synth daydreams, and sometimes only 12 bars of music, which Darragh J. Glennon, Shayne Byrne, Stephen Young, and Brian Murphy transformed into the melodies and soundscapes that now form Body Language.

Deliver For You" is the final single to be taken from the EP, alongside I Knew Your Mind (Like You Knew), In the Belly of the Beast of Love, and Science of the Heart. All of these releases received critical praise upon their release, along with multiple radio airplays.

Working remotely the four musicians took the elements they found and spent 18 months delving into the original material to create compositions that pushed their own boundaries and yet, grasped at something that was, to their ears, a collage of retro and contemporary. Making use of modern technology: Byrne (Producer, drums, keyboards, guitars) would usually send the demos on to Young (Vocalist), who would then arrange the songs at his home studio, often in tandem with Byrne.

The final single from Go Bury Your Monsters’ EP Body Language, Deliver For You, stands confidently alongside earlier tracks I Knew Your Mind (Like You Knew), In the Belly of the Beast of Love, and Science of the Heart. Each release has garnered critical acclaim and secured multiple airplays, cementing the band’s rising status in the alternative scene. With its blend of alt-rock textures and subtle electronic elements, the quartet of singles showcase the band’s evolving sound.
