Dublin based artist, Emma Hynes, is a singer-songwriter, and visual artist, who has gained recognition on the alt-folk scene, preforming in multiple venues across Ireland. With her debut album set for release in 2026, Hynes gives a hint of what to expect with the latest single, Sierra.
An indie-folk track, Sierra heralds a new era for the artist in terms of her sound and vision. Up-tempo, the track has pop qualities which is reinforced by The Leinster String Quartet
, consisting of Deirdre Reddy, Rachel Grimes, Niamh Roche and Aoife Dennedy.
Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Martin Quinn at JAM Studios, Ireland, Sierra
features Karl Hynes on guitar and the rhythm section of Martin and Andrew Quinn.
In addition to her music, Emma is a published and performing writer, and a photographer whose work has been shortlisted for the prestigious RHA Annual Exhibition, exhibited on Culture Night, and features on all four of her singles. She is a first class honours graduate of film, literature, drama, and television.
