Indie band, Circa, take a slight change in musical direction with new release

Music Review | 11th April, 2025 Circa Circa

Formed in 2021 with a shared love for 80s/90s indie-rock, Circa, have developed their own style, creating hook filled tracks that sound vintage, although with a modern twist.

Heavily pop influenced Circa create music that combines a variety of styles allowing them to take elements from each genre and blend them together seamlessly into something new and authentic.

Playing and being in music is just innate to us. - Sean (Vocals)

With a number of successful single releases under their belts, the latest track, Revolution, is a slight change in musical direction, displaying their versatility as a band.

With their latest release the band has moved away from their previous vintage, desert rock vibe sound. Tapping into the simplistic and melancholic nature of 80s post punk, Revolution, has plenty of attitude with heavy basslines and New Wave style guitar riffs that shimmer with chorus effects.

When it comes to the meaning behind the track, Sean and the boys choose to refrain from specifics on the lyrical front. Instead they approach them with a generality and almost escapist mentality, allowing listeners to derive their own meaning from the track.
