Circa | The Irish Band Blending Indie Rock, Soul, and Pop into Something Fresh

Music Review | 18th Aug, 2025 Circa Circa

Four-piece Circa came together in 2021, drawing inspiration from 80s/90s indie-rock, a touch of soul and R’n’B, and that sweet spot between vintage and modern pop. Blending all those influences, they’ve been carving out their own space ever since, crafting a sound that’s fresh, catchy, and totally authentic.

With a handful of successful releases already out, Circa have been turning heads and are quickly becoming one of the most recognizable names in Ireland’s music scene. Their single Revolution, which dropped a few months back, was a big moment for them, and now they’re back with their latest track, Can’t You See?, which shows just how much they’re evolving musically.

If you’ve caught Circa live, you might already know Can’t You See?. It’s a fan favorite for good reason. Think dream-wave vibes, layered harmonies, complex drum patterns, and subtle guitar work all wrapped up with a moody alt-rock energy.

On the lyrical side, Can’t You See? dives into darker territory. It explores themes like isolation and introspection, with frontman Sean delivering haunting vocals that capture the sense of someone trying to outrun their emotions, only to realize it’s impossible to escape them. It’s raw, emotional, and one of the band’s most powerful cuts yet.
