Aryel Moon
Alt-grunge outfit Aryel Moon have been steadily carving out a name for themselves, both on stage and in the studio. After making waves with their previous releases Bluebell
and Eulogy
, the band decided to dig deep, spending months refining their sound and creating something that feels both nostalgic and fresh. The result? Their latest release, Little Bit Closer.
Channelling the raw emotion of ’90s alt-rock but with a modern edge, Little Bit Closer
is a blend of grunge grit, punk drive, riot grrrl attitude, and poetic flair. It opens with chiming guitars before the rhythm section kicks in, pushing the song forward with pulsing energy. Frontwoman Donatella’s vocals glide over the chaos, smooth yet powerful, before everything bursts wide open in the chorus.
When talking about the lyrics, Donatella explains:
It carries that mix of desire, anticipation, and adrenaline you feel in the very first stage of falling for someone. That in-between space where you’re caught between genuine connection and the rush of limerence.
Rather than hitting a traditional studio, Aryel Moon kept things close to home for this one. They opted for a DIY recording setup, with bandmate Stefano handling engineering, mixing, and production duties. The track was recorded in their rehearsal space, giving them the freedom to experiment, adding new textures, harmonies, and layers without the pressure of the clock ticking.
The result is something raw yet refined, a song that feels like it was born out of passion and trust. Little Bit Closer
captures the spark of connection and the chaos of emotion, proving Aryel Moon are a band not just finding their sound, but owning it.
