Irish alt-rock band VERA release punchy new single

VERA
As individuals, VERA come from a range of musical backgrounds covering R&B and musical theatre, metal and ultra-pop, riot girl and alternative rock. Exploring their song writing process in the studio the band are motivated by each other's strengths and musical flair.
Born in the recording studio VERA spent a year, on and off, recording all of the material they had, perfecting the sounds and vibes that they felt most stimulated by and which represented how they are as people. All of their favourite songs have come from these sessions.
Following on the heels of their last single, Take It All Off, released in early 2025, the band make a return with the punchy new single, Skinbag.
An up-tempo rocker, Skinbag
, is a raw, post-punk anthem built around sharp, repetitive phrases. Pulsing with a mechanical drive, the track is packed with musical hooks over chugging chords and the relentless rhythm of clattering drums.
Lyrically, Skinbag
is about the frailty of the human experience and the intoxicating pull to places and people that will chew you up and spit you out.
VERA was created because of the immediate chemistry they all felt as soon as they played together, chasing the next dopamine-hit from writing and playing music together.
