Indie band, The Parachute Testers, prepare for debut album launch with new single

Music Review | 15th April, 2025 The Parachute Testers The Parachute Testers

Based in South East Ireland, The Parachute Testers, are a combination of musicians from Wexford, Leeds (UK) and The Ukraine. The sonic explorers have developed a sound that blends soaring female vocals over folk tinged electronic soundscapes.

The latest single from the band, A Sight For Sore Eyes, is a delicate track with smooth vocals over plucked guitar. An eerily soundscape is created by friend, Colm Mac Con Iomaire, who guests on the track adding his distinctive magical touch on strings.

The Lyrical theme of A Sight For Sore Eyes, is set to a backdrop of a troubled city, describing the feelings of comfort and security provided by a companion or loved one and the thought of making it back to safety and being reunited with them.

Awake in the city tonight, safer with you by my side, murder it lights up the skies... My mind’s been racing at a thousand miles an hour, the endless days the sleepless nights... God only know’s how I’ve been counting down the hours.... You’re just a sight for sore eyes
