Indie artist Queen Bitch, releases Two thunderous grunge anthems

Music Review | 3rd June, 2025 Queen Bitch Queen Bitch

With a perfect blend of rock, blues and grunge, Irish artist Queen Bitch, AKA Róisín Bohan, has been steadily carving a name in the Irish music scene. With a reputation for explosive anthems and being a staple in Dublin's live music scene, Queen Bitch, has earned extensive praise across Irish media and beyond.

The latest release from Queen Bitch comes in the form of two thunderous grunge anthems, Even If I Pray and its B-Side, A Popular Song. Drenched in distortion, the A-Side Even If I Pray, is filled with melancholic grit that builds to a soaring guitar solo that erupts before bringing us back to solid ground.

A Popular Song continues the sonic onslaught with walls of overdriven guitars and layers of chaotic guitar solos. The track is packed with raw emotion and an anthem for those rewriting their fate and clawing their way free from societal conditioning toward a new status quo.

Both songs were written and performed by Queen Bitch, produced at Beardfire Studios, led by head producer David Virgin. The tracks feature musical arrangements by the Beardfire production team - Rohan Healy (bass) and Al Quiff (drums) - as well as lead guitar work from both Healy and Petri Visser, with mastering by Romesh Dodangoda.
