Former member of the critically acclaimed Wexford band Salthouse, Niall Colfer, stylistically fuses slow grooves and electric guitar to create what could be his finest work to date, the latest album, The Coast Is Everywhere.
The Coast Of Everywhere
, finds Niall ruminating on themes of getting older, caring for loved ones and fast pace of life living and working in the city of Dublin. The title track of the album (The Coast of Everywhere) tells the story of Niall's grandfather, a merchant seaman, who would send home postcards from all over the world. Opening track The Wide Street Commissioners
describes of sights and sounds when walking though city streets that were laid out hundreds of years before.
Accompanying the album release is Niall's latest single, Done And Dusted, featuring jangling
guitars under a 90's Indie style melody.
Never one to rush creativity, Niall has been compiling his latest work over the past number of years. Recored at Old County Studios, Dublin, with producer, Sean Coleman O, The Coast Of Everywhere
features Graham Hopkins (The Frames, Glen Hansard, Dolores O'Riordan, Therapy?), on drums with Niall and Sean sharing the rest of the instrumentation duties.
The album, The Coast Of Everywhere is available through all streaming platforms.
