Following the success of the chart hitting single, I Will Wait
, Dublin singer songwriter ELLYD returns with her second single, Lose The Fear, from her upcoming debut album.
The catchy guitar driven track showcases a rock-side to ELLYD with slight tones reminiscent of 90's Irish rock.
According to Elly, the single is a taster of what is to come from her highly anticipated album Tomorrow Be Kind
, which is due for release later this year.
Speaking about how the song came about, Elly said it wasn't a straightforward process, saying:
I rewrote the music for - Lose the Fear - at least three times. Initially, it was intended to be a piano ballad, but I soon realised the music needed a more intense energy to represent the message.
When I began experimenting with the drums and electric guitar in particular, the song took shape and evolved into what it is today
At its core, the song reflects the struggle of facing difficulties and the mental battle to stay positive, to be present, and to have faith that things will improve.
This track is the fourth on my debut album, which is set to be released in September, and it's definitely one of the more rock-oriented songs.
The single, Lose The Fear, is available through all streaming platforms.
