Dublin rockers The Fae have been channelling elements of Indie, Power-Pop, Shoegaze and Alternative rock delivering their own distinctive brand of big chorus guitar music.
The band released their debut EP Bloodrush
at the start of 2024 which received excellent support and acclaim from BBC 6music, BBC Radio 1, Radio X, SiriusXM etc
Following the success of their debut EP The Fae made the decision to release a number of singles before working on a new album.
The first release from the band is the single, So You Said. Beginning with a slow strummed guitar and vocals the song bursts to life with heavier distorted tones, attacking drums and a searing hot guitar solo.
After we put out our debut Bloodrush EP, we thought it might be fun to do some single releases before diving into another EP or Album. We had begun experimenting with more guitar based, heavier music, and So You Said came about in a rehearsal, Emma just began playing the verse riff.
It was one of those songs that we all agreed was closer to where we'd like to take the band musically.
It's also way more fun to translate that harder, heavier music in a live context, as a 3 piece you can build up velocity really quickly. The lyrics were written in a daze, about my girlfriend, It's real.- Jordan, The Fae.
The single So You Said is available through all streaming platforms.
