Sick Love Release Single ahead of Album launch

Music Review | 12th February, 2024

Alt-Rockers Sick Love release their latest single, Ricochet, ahead of their debut album set for release May, 2024.

Sick Love Ricochet Ricochet

Ricochet is a great rocker that starts off slow with a beat and vocals before overdriven guitars come blazing in. While you can hear hints of influences such as 90's rockers Garbage and No Doubt, there is a definite modern feel to the track that will also sound great live.

The band found initially success opening for fellow rockers We Are Scientists, Dashboard Confessional and Crazy Town, while also playing a number of high profile venues such as Other Voices, Electric Picnic and a sold-out London headline in The Dublin Castle, London.

Further success came when the single Gun In Your Pocket featured in TV show The Young Offenders, gaining further praise before they released their EP Baby It's You, which saw the band receive significant UK & Irish radio support.

The latest single Ricochet is from the soon to be released album which the group spent the last two years writing and producing in a farm cottage in Ireland, which the band claimed pushed the boundaries creatively and sonically.

Speaking about their latest track the band say;

Ricochet is a song about standing up for your dreams and following your own path, even when the world thinks you should give up. It's about believing in yourself, blocking out the hate and riding your own wave no matter what anybody else thinks.
