2024 was a busy year for post-punk pMad, releasing music as a solo artist and part of musical project The Greetings. As the new year begins the singer-producer returns with his latest offering, a dark new-wave sounding, Feed.

Feed embodies pMad’s signature style of post-punk, new-wave. With his unique vocal style, pMad guides the track with dark guitar tones over layers of atmospheric sounds pushed by a pounding rhythm section.

Lyrically Feed, opens with raw introspection: I got lines on my face, lines on my skin from living life within. These words set the tone for a journey through themes of isolation, the inescapable weight of past burdens, and the unrelenting pressure of modern life. The refrain No escape if you can’t hide echoes like a mantra, a reminder of the challenges we face when we confront our inner demons.

pMad’s latest release is a powerful addition to their growing discography, solidifying their place as one of Ireland’s most evocative post-punk acts. With this track, the band challenges us to confront our shadows, question our values, and find strength in the face of adversity.
