Alt-artist, Kez releases eerie sounding track

Music Review | 22nd June, 2025 Kez Kez

With performances across prestigious festivals in Ireland and gigs spanning New York, California, and Dublin, alt-artist, Kez has been building a diverse and loyal following.

The latest release, In The Arms, is Kez's most sonically expansive and electric work to date. The track sees Kez's vocal weave through synths and a brooding piano lines that builds into a lush, cinematic crescendo.

The lyric ‘faith in the art of falling apart’ feels important. I guess I’ve always felt this sense of disintegration quite strongly – like everything could just unravel at any moment. This is a personal thing... but then you look at the news and you’re like what the fck is going on? So, I guess I’m making songs that assert some kind of faith.
Film scores have always been a huge source of inspiration for me. Right now I’m obsessed with Ludwig Göransson’s soundtrack for Oppenheimer, and some of the synth choices in - In the Arms - are a nod to that score.

Hayes has a number of live dates approaching including All Together Now, which takes place on the August Bank Holiday Weekend 2025.
