Limerick group Dylan Flynn and the Dead Poets
are aiming for pure communication – surging Indie-Rock that comes with a pop openness, their widescreen yet down-to-earth musicality has a viral appeal, yet remains DIY in origin.
2023 saw the band self-produce and release their debut album and take on their biggest shows to date – packing and selling-out rooms across the UK and Ireland.
The latest track Not Waiting On Anything is an alt-country track that blends elements of Irish-Folk and Electronica production with minimalist guitar, bass and drums, glittered with saxophone and fiddle.
Speaking about the track Flynn says;
I suppose the song is about being forlorn and lost. That recurring theme of loss, that is consistently within our songs, is intertwined with an element of regret from your past. It's more of a stripped back ballad compared to our other tracks. That softer side of us has always been there, and we wanted to lean into that a little bit.
Not Waiting On Anything
is the 3rd single from the bands upcoming Caught Up In A Delusion
EP, set for release on May 31st.
The track Not Waiting On Anything is available through all streaming platforms.
