Irish band The Devlins have captivated audiences worldwide with their cinematic hits and magnetic live performances since their debut, Drift
in 1993 to critical acclaim, earning a four-star review in Rolling Stone.
Formed by brothers Colin and Peter Devlin the band's music has been a staple in film and tv throughout their career, including Crossing The River
being part of the Batman Forever multi-platinum selling soundtrack. This widespread exposure has helped cement The Devlins' reputation for creating evocative and cinematic music.
The latest single, Slipping Through Your Hands, features on the bands soon to be released album set for release on 4th October, 2024.
The latest track seamlessly blends the introspective depth of their past work with an infectious major-key melody. For Colin Devlin Slipping Through Your Hands
is probably a note to one's self;
An inner dialogue about time passing, looking back and reconnecting to who you once were and where you came from, through the lens of the present.
It feels like a movie to me with the atmospheric minor bass riff and drums setting the scene for the 90 seconds or so, before it opens into the big chorus. It's one of the strongest songs from the new Devlins record and we hope old and new fans alike will gravitate towards it both musically and lyrically.
The single Slipping Through Your Hands is available through all streaming platforms.
